Your teachers at Tute are here to make sure you have a positive and productive learning experience. Here’s what they’ll do:
Teachers join lessons early to greet you and get everything ready.
Your lessons are planned to help you make progress, grow your confidence, and achieve your goals.
They’ll explain how to behave respectfully in lessons and make sure everyone feels safe and included.
After each lesson, you’ll get an assessment of your progress and engagement with helpful suggestions for improvement.
To get the most out of your Tute lessons, your teachers expect you to:
Attend every lesson and stay until the end.
Complete all activities and tasks your teacher sets for you.
Be kind and courteous to everyone in the learning cloud.
Let your teacher know if you need support – they’re here to help!
Your teacher will guide you through everything, share resources on the screen, set activities, and make learning fun and interactive. You’ll find lots of interactive features in your lessons that let you take part in a way that feels comfortable for you.
Join with your microphone, if you feel comfortable to speak.
Join listen only and respond to your teacher in the lesson chat.
Answer multiple choice poll questions (only your teacher will see your answer!)
Share how you are feeling using emojis
Put your hand up, just like in any other classroom
Send your teacher a private message
Use the interactive whiteboard tools to learn!
You can choose to speak during the lesson, but if you prefer not to, you can use the chat function to write messages. If you have a question but don’t want to ask it in front of everyone, you can send a private message to your teacher.
Every lesson is recorded and you can watch them later, which is great for revising or just refreshing your memory.
Tute has an online classroom called the Learning Cloud. This has been designed to give you everything you need to engage with your lessons.
Here is what your lesson will look like once you log in:
What’s being introduced?
Every Wednesday, when you log in to the Tute platform, you’ll see a short pop-up asking two quick questions:
You’ll answer by moving a simple slider from 1–5 to show how you feel. It takes less than 30 seconds to complete, and then it disappears once you’ve submitted your responses.
Why is this being introduced?
At Tute we want to understand how learning feels for you, not just what you achieve in each lesson. Your confidence and enjoyment are important because they show us how supported, motivated, and connected you feel in your learning.
Your responses help us to:
Your answers are private and will never be used to assess or grade you. They’re simply a way for teachers and Tute to understand how students are feeling and to provide support where needed.
What do I need to do?
When you see the pop-up each Wednesday, move the sliders to show how confident and how much you’re enjoying your learning that week. Be honest; there are no right or wrong answers.
If you miss the pop-up, it will appear the next time you log in.
If you have any questions, please do ask your teachers, they’ll always be happy to support you.
