Learning online opens up a world of opportunity – but it’s important to stay safe while you’re doing it.
At Tute, we take your safety seriously and we’re always here to support you.
Here are some simple tips to help you protect yourself:
Don’t share personal information like your full name, address, school, or phone number with anyone online – even in a Tute lesson.
Keep your passwords private and don’t share them with friends.
Be respectful in chat and messages – if someone makes you feel uncomfortable, tell a trusted adult or report it.
Think before you click – don’t open links or attachments from people you don’t know.
Take a break if something upsets you online, and talk to someone about it.

All Tute staff are trained in online safety, and we keep up to date with the latest risks and ways to help.
If we ever think you’re not being safe online – whether in a lesson or elsewhere – we’ll speak to you and to the people who organise your education to make sure you’re supported.
If needed, you might be invited to take part in a special online safety programme where we go through how to stay safe in more detail.
Please don’t share personal details in the lesson chat or with other students. Your teachers will remind you of this if needed.
Our platform has built-in safety features – and so does any independent learning we give you – to help protect you while you learn.
You can send a private message to your teacher if you have a worry or a question about staying safe online – or anything else.
If you’re worried about something or someone, you can also email us directly at safeguarding@tute.com
Whether it’s about you or someone else, we’ll listen and help.
