At Tute, mentoring is a chance to meet with a trusted adult (your Tute mentor) either on your own or in a small group. It’s your safe space to check in, talk things through, and get support to help you do your best, both in and out of your lessons.
You don’t need to prepare anything: just bring yourself!
We know that learning isn’t just about lessons, it’s also about feeling confident, supported, and ready to learn. That’s why mentoring at Tute is so important. It helps you:
Feel heard your mentor wants to know how things are going for you
Get support: with anything that might be tricky
Celebrate progress: we notice what you’re doing well
Stay goals: and figure out how to reach them
Build confidence: in your learning, your routine, and yourself
Lots of Tute students take part in mentoring. You might have 1:1 mentoring (just you and your mentor) or be in a small group with other students. Either way, your mentoring is tailored to you.
You might be offered mentoring to help with:
Settling into Tute
Confidence or motivation
Routines and organisation
Managing feelings
Talking things through
Someone to check in with regularly
Your mentoring sessions happen online, just like your lessons, and they’ll be added to your Tute timetable. Sessions might be weekly or daily, depending on what’s best for you.
You’ll always know when your sessions are, and you can join with just a click.
Every mentoring session is a bit different, but some things we might do include:
Your Tute mentor is a member of the Tute team, someone who understands online learning and knows how to help you feel supported and confident.
They’re here to help you succeed, feel proud of your progress, and enjoy your learning journey at Tute.
