After every lesson, you’ll get feedback that shows how much you learned, how you joined in, and how you communicated with others. This feedback gives you a clear picture of your learning, what went well and what you can improve next time.
Your teachers assess your progress, engagement, and communication. These are given as numbers that show how well you achieved the learning objective, how actively you took part, and how you communicated in line with our SHINE values. Alongside the assessments, your teacher also gives you a suggestion for progress, a short comment to guide your next step.
These assessments aren’t about judging you. They’re there to help you recognise your strengths, take more control of your learning, and see your improvements over time. Together with the teacher’s written feedback, they give you clear goals to focus on in future lessons.
See what each assessment means below and use it to guide your next steps.
