At Tute Education, we recognise that navigating attendance codes is complex. We also recognise the critical role schools play in monitoring student attendance and engagement in online learning. Following the latest Department for Education (DfE) attendance guidance (August ’24), students attending online sessions cannot be recorded as physically present. This does not impact the suitability or use of our provision but highlights the need for schools to implement effective tracking and reporting measures.
Tute’s secure Learning Portal ensures that schools and referring services have access to attendance data, enabling them to download verifiable records for compliance and safeguarding purposes. If a student does not log in to a session, automated notifications allow schools to take timely interventions to support student participation.
Supporting schools with attendance compliance and student engagement
To remain compliant with attendance regulations, schools should maintain accurate records and adopt in-house methods for tracking and reporting student attendance. Tute Education supports this process by:
Tute Education is committed to delivering quality-assured online education, with safeguarding at the core of our provision. As a provider seeking accreditation under the Online Education Accreditation Scheme (OEAS), Tute upholds rigorous standards to ensure the highest levels of educational quality and child protection. Schools can be confident that our live, interactive lessons provide a structured, engaging, and Ofsted-quality assured learning experience.
This holistic approach ensures that schools can track attendance effectively while prioritising student wellbeing, progress, and safeguarding.
