What your child's feedback means

After every lesson, your child receives feedback on three key areas: how well they learned, how engaged they were, and how they communicated with others. This feedback helps build a clear picture of their learning, highlighting what’s going well and what could be improved.

Teachers assess your child’s progress, engagement, and communication. Each area is assessed, showing:

  • how well your child achieved the lesson objective,
  • how actively they took part, and
  • how well they demonstrated our SHINE values (respect, kindness, and positive behaviour).

Alongside the assessment, teachers also give a short comment with a suggestion for next steps.

This system helps teachers identify strengths and next steps for learning. For you as a parent, it provides a clear picture of how your child is doing day-to-day, beyond just academic progress.
