Vanessa Leach,
Managing Director, Tute
As we approach the end of another academic year, I want to thank you for your continued partnership and for the trust you place in Tute to support your students.
Together, we have supported thousands of young people, delivered almost sixty thousand lessons and continued to strengthen the quality, reach and impact of our provision. This final newsletter of the year reflects on some of the milestones, outcomes and student experiences that have shaped 2025–26.
None of this is achieved by Tute alone. The preparation, encouragement and ongoing support provided by our partners and families plays a vital role in helping students to engage, make progress, and rebuild confidence in learning.
We will be sharing further information about provision, enrolment, and plans for 2026–27 shortly but, for now, thank you for working alongside us and for everything you have done to help create better outcomes for the children and young people we support together.
I hope that you enjoy a well-deserved and restful summer break.
With best wishes,
Vanessa
Behind every statistic is a student and the collective effort of teachers, partners and support teams working together to improve access to education. Together, these figures reflect the scale, consistency and reliability of the support delivered throughout the academic year.
More than 2,200 students shared their experiences of learning this year, giving us valuable insight into what helps students feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
Their feedback continues to inform the way we develop our provision, shaping decisions across teaching, inclusion, safeguarding and student support. By listening carefully and responding thoughtfully, we continue to strengthen the sense of safety, belonging and connection that helps students engage and thrive.

Throughout the year, we’ve continued to develop our provision in response to the needs of students and partners. This has included strengthening safeguarding processes, introducing the SHINE values and Student Council, expanding pastoral and mentoring support, broadening access to remote qualifications, and extending our primary curriculum and enrichment offer. Together, these developments have helped strengthen the support, opportunities and experiences available to students across Tute.
This work has also been recognised beyond Tute through a number of independent awards and quality marks.
Together, they recognise the quality, inclusion and student-centred approach that underpin our provision.
Our outcomes framework helps us understand what is making a difference for students, where support is needed, and how we can work with partners to give every student the best possible chance to attend, engage, and make progress.
The data continues to show how important the beginning of a placement can be. Students who attend their first lesson at Tute go on to attend future lessons at almost three times the rate of those who miss it. Where students attend their first three lessons, subsequent attendance is stronger again.
Early attendance gives students time to become familiar with the platform, understand what to expect, begin building confidence, and start forming positive routines. For students who may already have experienced barriers to education, that early sense of confidence and connection can make a significant difference.
As our outcomes framework continues to strengthen what we know about student progress, it also strengthens what we can do in response. By using this insight together, we can act earlier, support students more effectively, and help more young people build the confidence, connection and momentum they need to progress.
As we prepare for a new academic year, we’re continuing to build on this year’s developments with a range of improvements across our platform, provision and support. Designed around partner feedback and student need, these changes will make accessing, managing and delivering provision even simpler.
Private provision bookings will move into the Tute platform, creating a more consistent booking experience with fewer forms and greater visibility throughout the referral process.
Shared provision timetables will include dedicated student break times, protected Wednesday afternoons and a more flexible structure to better support a wider range of student needs.
New reporting developments, including AI-supported summaries, will make it quicker and easier to review student progress and identify the information that matters most.
Ongoing Learning Cloud developments will continue to enhance teaching, learning and day-to-day navigation for both partners and students.
New developments across the Student Hub and student experience will continue to strengthen belonging, celebrate achievement and help students feel more connected to learning.
