What’s being introduced?
Each Wednesday, when students log in to the Tute platform, they’ll see a short pop-up asking two quick questions:
Students simply move a slider from 1–5 to show how they feel. It takes less than 30 seconds, and the pop-up disappears once submitted.
Why is this being introduced?
At Tute, we want to understand how learning feels for our students – not just how well they perform. Confidence and enjoyment are key indicators of how supported, motivated, and connected young people feel in their learning.
Responses help us to:
All responses are private and are not used for assessment or grading. They simply help teachers and the Tute team understand how students are feeling so that we can provide the right support when it’s needed.
What do parents/carers need to know?
When the pop-up appears each Wednesday, students just need to move the sliders to reflect how confident and how much they’re enjoying their learning that week. There are no right or wrong answers – honesty helps us understand and support them best.
If a student misses the pop-up due to absence, it will reappear the next time they log in.
If your child has any questions, they can reach out to their teacher – they’ll be happy to help.
The Tute platform is designed to provide a secure, seamless, and engaging experience for students. It brings together everything needed for live lessons, ongoing learning, and progress tracking into one easy-to-use system. Purpose-built for learning (not for meetings!), the platform ensures that your child’s education is supported every step of the way.
1. Learning Portal
This is where your child accesses their timetable, lessons, progress updates, and lesson recordings. The Student Learning Portal is their central hub for online learning.
What your child can do in their Learning Portal:
2. Learning Cloud
This is where your child’s lessons take place. It’s designed to make learning interactive and accessible for all students. The Learning Cloud is your child’s online classroom.
Key features of the Learning Cloud:
3. Learning Base (if included)
For some curriculums, this is where learning extends beyond the classroom. This area is accessed from the portal and provides extra resources, homework tools, and teacher feedback. The Learning Base is your child’s space for independent learning.
What your child can do in the Learning Base:
The school or LA who organised your child’s education with Tute may also give you an account to your own Learning Portal. It makes it easy for parents to stay updated. If you have access to the Parent Learning Portal, you can view:
The platform is very easy to use, but if you need support, please access the guides from the menu to help you and your child.
