end of term highlights
May 2026

Encouraging confidence, emotional wellbeing, and positive connections every step of the way.

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we reach the end of another busy half term, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the conversations, achievements, and shared learning that have shaped recent months across Tute.

This half term has continued to focus on wellbeing, emotional safety, and ensuring that young people feel heard, understood, and supported both in and beyond their learning environments.

Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership, openness, and support. The connection between home and online learning remains such an important part of helping young people feel secure, confident, and able to succeed.

Virtual Coffee Mornings – Spring term highlights

This half term, our Virtual Coffee Mornings have focused on supporting families through emotional wellbeing, uncertainty, and exam pressures.

April: Talking about difficult news and big emotions
In April, we explored how parents and carers can support children in processing upsetting world events, worrying news stories, or personal challenges. We discussed the importance of emotional literacy, reassurance, and creating calm spaces for conversation, helping young people feel safe, heard, and supported during uncertain times.

May: Supporting children through exam stress
This month’s session focused on supporting young people through exam periods with wellbeing at the centre. We explored practical strategies for reducing pressure, maintaining healthy routines, building confidence, and helping children manage stress in a balanced and supportive way.

The session also highlighted the importance of rest, reassurance, and recognising effort over perfection during what can often be an emotionally demanding time for young people and families alike.

Coming up next term

We’re looking forward to continuing these supportive conversations over the coming months:

June: Friendships, boundaries and belonging
This session will explore the importance of social connection and emotional safety. We’ll discuss how to support healthy friendships, encourage boundaries, and help young people develop a strong sense of identity, confidence, and belonging.

July & August: Summer Break
There will be no live coffee morning sessions over the summer break as we take time to reflect, reset, and prepare for the new academic year.

If you’re unable to attend live sessions, all coffee mornings are followed up with newsletters and resources on the Parent & Carer Hub:

This year’s theme, “moving beyond compliance towards culture,” highlights the importance of creating safeguarding practices that are not only effective, but embedded within everyday relationships, communication, and organisational values.

At Tute, safeguarding continues to sit at the centre of everything we do, helping ensure that students feel safe, respected, and supported in all aspects of their learning experience.

Celebrating Tute achievements

This term has also been a moment to celebrate several important achievements and recognitions across Tute, reflecting the dedication, care, and commitment shown by staff, students, families, and partners every day.

🏆 Education Resources Awards 2026 – Supplier of the Year
We were incredibly proud to be recognised in the Supplier of the Year category at the Education Resources Awards 2026.

Feedback from the judges praised Tute’s whole-system approach, highlighting:

  • our comprehensive support for schools,
  • rapid and responsive deployment,
  • strong safeguarding culture,
  • meaningful family engagement,
  • commitment to staff development,
  • and sustainable, high-quality practice across the organisation.

The award recognised the “deep systematic impact rather than surface-level support” created through our work with students, families, schools, and commissioning partners.

This recognition reflects the consistency, compassion, and high standards demonstrated across Tute every day.

🌟 Investing in Children Membership Award
We were also honoured to receive the Investing in Children Membership Award.

The report highlighted how student voice is embedded meaningfully across Tute through initiatives such as:

  • Student Council,
  • student surveys,
  • mentoring and form groups,
  • the Student Hub,
  • and wider feedback opportunities.

Importantly, the report recognised that student feedback actively shapes real change across the organisation. Examples included:

  • the introduction of One Page Profiles,
  • redesigning lesson templates to improve accessibility,
  • teacher introduction videos to reduce anxiety around online learning,
  • and ongoing improvements to enrichment opportunities and the Student Hub.

The report concluded that pupil voice at Tute is “not tokenistic but embedded into organisational practice,” helping to strengthen wellbeing, inclusion, ownership, and belonging for students across the organisation.

Students themselves shared comments including:

“TUTE gives a lot of opportunities for student feedback.”
“They listen and are respectful.”
“Changes are actually being made.”

The final recommendation stated that there was “no hesitation” in recommending Tute for the award, something we are incredibly proud of.

🎉 Pearson National Teaching Awards 2026
The recognition did not stop there. Tute also received a Certificate of Achievement in the Award for SEND and Inclusive Practice at the Pearson National Teaching Awards 2026.

With exceptionally strong entries from across the UK, this recognition reflects the expertise, compassion, and commitment that underpin our inclusive approach to online education.

The award recognised our continued focus on putting students at the centre of everything we do, particularly in supporting learners with complex needs and ensuring consistency, care, and high-quality provision for students, families, and partner schools alike.

Free GCSE revision support for all students

As exam season continues, we also wanted to remind families about GCSE Revision Live – Tute’s free live revision sessions available to all students, whether they learn with Tute or not.

These online sessions take place the evening before GCSE exams and are designed to help students feel calm, confident, and prepared. Delivered by qualified teachers, sessions focus on key content, exam techniques, and past paper-style questions to support purposeful, focused revision when it matters most.

The sessions are completely free to access and include:

  • Exam-board specific revision
  • Live teaching from qualified teachers
  • Exam practice and revision strategies
  • Supportive, structured preparation ahead of exams

The aim is simple: to help students replace last-minute panic with confidence and clarity.
