Platform update:
By Phill Hughes, Technology Manager | 23 Apr 2026
We’ve continued to make improvements to the Tute platform over recent months, including COMs (Core Outcome Measure) reports, student tagging, and visibility of last lesson attended within the student table.
From the week commencing 27 April 2026, we’re introducing a further set of updates shaped directly by partner feedback, focused on making everyday use of the platform clearer and easier.
Here’s how we’ve responded to your feedback.
For clearer student statuses when filtering
Simplified statuses to just Enrolled and Withdrawn, replacing previous options and removing the ‘Deactivate’ action from quick actions
Clearer, more consistent status filtering across your student list
For clearer ways to manage student enrolments and withdrawals
Introduced an Enrolments option (under Provision) where you can withdraw students from some or all of their programmes, and simplified how individual enrolments are managed within student details.
A clearer, central place to manage enrolments and withdrawals
For a quicker, more intuitive student setup process
Restructured the student creation wizard to group related information and improve flow
A more logical and streamlined setup experience
For visibility of upcoming lessons by individual student
Added a report, similar to the attendance report, showing upcoming lessons at student level
Improved visibility of scheduled lessons when reviewing provision
For a more intuitive platform menu
Reorganised and consolidated the main navigation across key areas, including Dashboard, Students, Provision, Lessons, and Reports
Key areas are easier to locate and move between
These updates bring greater consistency to how student statuses are managed, clearer processes for enrolment and withdrawal, and a more straightforward way to navigate the platform.
Alongside this, improvements to the student setup flow and visibility of upcoming lessons make it easier to manage provision and plan ahead day to day.
