Creating a supportive space where students can feel confident, connected, and ready to thrive
As we reach the end of the spring term, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the themes, conversations, and shared learning that have shaped the past few months. This term has continued to centre around wellbeing, belonging, and ensuring that every young person feels heard, understood, and supported.
Thank you, as always, for your openness and partnership – it makes a real difference.
This term, our Virtual Coffee Mornings have focused on key areas that support both children and families:
February: Raising respectful, inclusive young people
In February, we explored how to nurture socially aware, kind, and inclusive children. The session focused on how to respond to bias, promote fairness, and use everyday opportunities, such as books, media, and conversations to build empathy and understanding. These small, consistent interactions can have a powerful impact on how young people see the world and others around them.
March: Understanding neurodiversity – ADHD, autism & beyond
As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we focused on raising awareness and understanding of neurodivergent profiles. We discussed how children may experience the world differently and shared guidance for families navigating assessments, diagnoses, or simply wanting to better understand their child’s learning, behaviour, and needs. These conversations are an important step in building acceptance, confidence, and the right support.
We’re looking forward to continuing these supportive conversations:
April: Talking about difficult news and big emotions
Supporting parents to help children process challenging world events or personal experiences. We’ll explore ways to foster calm, emotional literacy, and resilience during uncertain times.
May: Friendships, boundaries and belonging
Focusing on the importance of social connection and emotional safety, this session will explore how to support healthy friendships, encourage boundaries, and help young people develop a strong sense of identity and belonging.
If you’re unable to attend live sessions, all coffee mornings are followed up with newsletters and resources on the Parent & Carer Hub:

Alongside this, students across Tute have been celebrating Student Voice Month, linked closely to our belonging values. This has been a focused opportunity to ensure students feel heard, valued, and connected to their learning experience.
Student voice remains central to our vision, it helps us understand what is working well, where improvements can be made, and ensures that young people feel a genuine sense of ownership in their education.

Your feedback is incredibly important to us – it helps shape our services, improve support, and ensure we are meeting the needs of families in a meaningful way.
The form is quick to complete, and all responses are confidential. We would really appreciate you taking a few moments to share your thoughts:
