In Lessons - There is a noticeable delay between the video and audio [ Sync Issues ]

Home Network:
Your home network may be experiencing high usage from other users in your household.

Sometimes video streaming services such as: YouTube or Netflix can take up high amounts of bandwidth, we advise against using any such services while teaching.

If you are using a WIFI connection you may experience a delay in lessons, we highly recommend using a wired Ethernet cable connection to your homes router when attending live lessons.

Your Device:
Other applications on your computer may be monopolizing resources and so slowing the lesson down.

Please check for other applications running on your computer – to enable you to close any that you do not need for your lesson.

To check for running applications use the command (CTRL + SHIFT + ESC) to launch task manager:

You can close applications such as “Excel” to save memory and processing time –

this will enable your web browser to access more resources and improve its performance.

Other:

  • Sometimes just refreshing your browser will help solve the problem: Use the refresh icon next to the back and forward arrows to refresh the page.
  • Restarting your computer after long periods of use will also help.
  • If problems continue, your Ethernet cable that connects you to your home router might be to blame, try another Ethernet cable.
